Privacy Policy

Plain language. No legalese. Here's exactly what we collect, what we don't, and what we do with it.

The short version

AppRevolt is a small independent developer. We don't sell data, run ad networks, or build profiles on people. We collect the minimum needed to make our apps work — and nothing more.

What we collect and why

Launch notification emails
If you enter your email on any waitlist form, we store it to send you one notification when the app launches. That's the only email you'll get from us. We don't send newsletters or promotional messages, and we never share your address with anyone.
Game session data (Phrase Mash)
When a Phrase Mash game is in progress, we temporarily store the room state — the room code, player nicknames, scores, and submitted answers. This data exists only for the duration of the game and is deleted when the room closes. We don't link any of it to a real identity.

What we don't collect

We don't use tracking cookies, behavioral analytics, or third-party ad pixels. We don't record IP addresses or build profiles based on how you use our apps. We don't require an account for any of our current products.

These pages load fonts from Google Fonts. Google's servers receive a request when the font loads, which may include your IP address — that's between you and Google. We use Google Fonts because it's fast and reliable; it's the only third-party service embedded on these pages.

Where your data lives

Email addresses collected through our waitlist forms are stored in Supabase, a database service hosted in the United States. Game session data for Phrase Mash is also stored there temporarily during active sessions.

We don't transfer your data internationally beyond what Supabase's infrastructure does in the ordinary course of its operation.

Your rights

You can ask us to delete your email address at any time — just send a note to contact@apprevolt.io and we'll remove it. If you'd like to know what data we have associated with your email, we'll tell you.

If you're in the EU or California, you have additional rights under GDPR and CCPA respectively. We're a small shop and we'll do our best to accommodate any request. Email us and we'll work it out.

Children

Phrase Mash is a family game intended for players of all ages, including children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. Players join Phrase Mash games using only a nickname — no email, no account, no personal information required. The only personal information we ever collect from anyone is an optional email address entered voluntarily on a waitlist form, and we don't present those forms in contexts where we'd expect children to be filling them in independently.

Changes to this policy

If we materially change how we handle data, we'll update this page and the "last updated" date above. We won't change things in ways that retroactively affect how we've already handled data you gave us.
